Work Day #1 for the Entire team

Today is Monday and the 1st day of the project here at Monte Blanco for the entire team. It started as most Mondays do on a new job site with 30+ people, most of which have never worked together before, a bit chaotic at first but soon order ensued. We broke into work groups according to our trades/ specialties and set out across all areas of the camp to begin the different aspects of the project. The electricians got started re-wiring the cabins and a few others worked on the transfer switch set up on the generator. The lineman began removing the old overhead lines that w ill no longer be needed and the ladies on the team worked in the boys dorms, spackling cracked wall, removing graffiti and sanding in preparation for fresh paint that is to follow. The progress moved along rapidly, so much so that the staff members here at the camp are amazed just how much we were able to do in just one day. We look forward to many more successful days to come, days like today, full of progress, fellowship, cooperation and free of injury or negativity. We are all exhausted and will be heading off to bed soon.
