Good morning from Santa Cruz, Bolivia. It is now past 2 AM here now and I just sent some sample forms to Gene to be accessed by the rest of the team for next Friday when they will follow our example. We had good flights, maybe a little turbulence, but we are safely here and ALL of our luggage has made it here to the guest house with us. We experienced a bump in that the Automatic Transfer Switch we brought along in three pieces was pulled out of luggage and Customs Duty needs to be paid for it, to the tune of 32% of the cost, or about $600.00US. We expected this could happen and sometimes things are let go through by God's providence and sometimes not. This time - not. The good thing is that it appears to have made the journey without being damaged and that is the most important thing.
Later today, after we get some shuteye we will meet with the Mission and then perhaps do some shopping for some electrical parts. Internet here at the guest house in Santa Cruz is good, but it may not be so good out at Monte Blanco. We will post on the blog daily and those posts will come from different team members to give you all a different perspective from time to time.
I will post a few pictures "later today", so check back and keep us in your prayers and thoughts. God is in full control of all that is going to happen here in the next three weeks and we are excited to see Him work in His own way for His glory!
By the way, the posting time on these posts seems to be Pacific Time for some reason, and it is not that way on this computer. However we are on Atlantic Time here, or at least we are one hour ahead of Eastern Time. When Eastern Time is on Daylight Savings Time, then we would be on the same time here as at home, and that will affect Don and Christine and Art, as well as the team from Steppin Out Missions, who will be here longer than the rest of the I-TEC team.
